Friday 17th March – Crazy Hair Day and Community Picnic Performances

Crazy Hair Day

Don’t forget, tomorrow is crazy hair day. The 5/6 sare invited to wear ‘crazy hair’ for the day to help raise awareness and funds for blood cancer, as part of ‘The World’s Greatest Shave’. We have a number of  students who are either shaving or colouring their hair tomorrow for the cause. Students who wear ‘crazy hair’ are asked to bring a gold coin donation.

If you’d like to donate directly to Aimee, who will be shaving her hair in the afternoon during the community picnic, check out the following blog post: (good luck Aimee!).

Community Picnic Performance Schedule

During tomorrow’s community picnic (starting at 4.30pm), a number of students have volunteered to provide entertainment. We have put together a rough schedule, with performance times. JSC reps will be running some activities as well.

You can see the performance program at the following link:

  1. Hi thanks to all 5/6 teachers for their wonderful support. I noticed you left out Milla and Simona who are colouring. Aimee’s dad is also colouring today for the cause.

  2. Hi 5/6 teachers

There’s a bit of confusion around the crazy hair thing as quite a few kids didn’t know about it when asked this morning (Friday 17th).
Was it just for one or two of the classes, or is it meant to be for the picnic this afternoon?
A bit of clarification would be appreciated. Thanks

  3. Apologies for the confusion about Crazy Hair Day. Yes, today is crazy hair day for 5/6s to raise money and support those colouring and shaving their heads for the World’s Greatest Shave. We’re sorry if the communication wasn’t consistent across grades, but we would love for students to wear ‘crazy hair’ this evening for the community picnic to supper this great cause!
